Welcome to Marble Rush!

Marble Rush is a gravity based marble racing game with directional input from the player. Highly influenced by Jelle's Marble Runs, marbles run down the track by gravity alone, with various obstacles to avoid and short cuts to find! Speed boosts, jump pads will help you get down the course while, static and moving obstacles will slow you down. The enemy marbles are all gravity, though the player can provide left-right direction to try and avoid obstacles and gain more speed!

Race with 6 other marbles on the tutorial levels to learn how different obstacles and features behave in the game. Once you've completed those, move onto the longer courses that put you against 9 other marbles as you go downhill through various traps and boosts.

After the race, compare yourself to others on the leaderboard and try to set the fastest time!

• Stars/Currency earned for each race, currency/stars spent to unlock new courses and/or marble skins

Monetization Strategy

For now, I want to release this game with a dozen or two courses for no cost, with at least an example race or two for each type of track (quick races, obstacle courses, sand courses, etc.). The main target is the mobile market and I want to provide a core set of courses for free. If users like the game, they can unlock all other courses for a small purchase cost or by watching an ad to unlock a number of races on a course. No interstitial ads between races are planned as I want players to enjoy playing the game, whether on short or long, without being interrupted.

While the game is being developed, donations are appreciated but will not be required for updated versions. Eventually, the monetization strategy will be implemented but the core of the game is expected to be available here for free, like on mobile.

About the Game Developer

This is my very first game that I'm developing as I learn to turn my ideas into reality. This first game is being built for, and tested by, my kids as they love watching marble racing on YouTube and there aren't many games out there like it. It's a great first test as I step into game development as a hobby. If this works out, I plan on developing a larger sequel based more on Hot Wheel's like car racing (the kids also love that on YouTube), and then maybe I'll have skills ready to move onto bigger projects.
